About the Role:
Join The Learning Tree in Wilmington, NC as an Afternoon Floater/Assistant Teacher! This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to support our dedicated team in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children.
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in daily classroom activities and routines.
- Supervise and engage children during playtime and learning activities.
- Support the implementation of age-appropriate educational programs.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- Provide individual attention to children as needed to support their learning and development.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Assist with snack preparation and supervision.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; early childhood education coursework preferred.
- Previous experience in a childcare or educational setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Passion for working with young children and fostering their development.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Must pass a background check and meet state licensing requirements.
- Must be available from 1pm to 5:30pm no exception to accommodate afternoon shifts.
